Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie: Fiery Debate on a Helicopter Ride

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are fighting over everything according to various reports. They have allegedly been involved in wine tossing rows over politics and complaints over how many more third world children they should adopt. Jolie actually denied drenching her pal Pitt with red wine while in France, who knows if they will grab another kid during their luxury world travels. Maybe they should argue about transportation.

Jolie and especially Brad Pitt are about to find out what kind of a fiery debate Hollywood liberals can bring to the table when they decide to step into the public limelight and begin telling people how to live their lives. Pitt sounded sophomoric and a bit dopey on NBC last week when he was in New Orleans promoting his new pet cause.

Fortunately for him he was speaking to Ann Curry, a Jolie-Pitt groupie who also is a host and reporter for NBC news. She blew off the whole serious journalist bit though and looked like a school girl during the interview and failed to ask any tough questions. Not that it mattered. Here's just a taste of what Pitt said: "Katrina was a manmade disaster," Pitt told Curry. "The misconception is that it was nature. But this is manmade - decades and decades of erroneous engineering moves and really, really bad, bad irresponsible moves that I believe government has a responsibility to make right."

He added: "The idea that we pay utility bills is absolutely unnecessary, There's the sun. It's right there to be harnessed. You feel the breeze that's been created here. And we got water right out there. Any one of these can be harnessed...It's simple. It's smart. It's the way we have to be thinking. There's a lot of problems in the world right now because of our dependency on oil.”

Brad Pitt reminds me a bit of the Seinfeld character George Costanza - he likes to pretend he is an architect and now apparently an engineer. So how did our oil hating pretend architect arrive in the Hamptons to promote his cause on Saturday night? In Hollywood liberal style. TMZ.Com reports that rather than taking the highway from NYC, they arrived by helicopter. The writer adds, "But for someone so concerned with going green, was a gas-guzzling, pollution-spewing helicopter the best mode of transportation?"

Pitt and Jolie will harm more causes than they ever help. Now the focus is all on Pitt's idiotic statements and the way his family owns several homes, flies on private jets and helicopters and burns fossil fuels in record amounts, instead of on New Orleans.

I'll listen to a lecture on power and energy use from Hollywood liberal Ed Begley, Jr. Though he doesn't pretend to be an architect or pretend to be married to Angelina Jolie at least he lives the life. I'll take a pass from Brad Pitt until he stops with his personal pleasure travel on private jets and using a helicopter instead of a Prius.
